Concept
A person assigns her subjective attitude to real events and objects. Operating with terms which are far from reality, the Person seeks to justify all her actions, frame up a logical explanation and add sense to the actions. But in fact the Person who wants to perform an action takes her decision based on her current state and previous experiences. The Person makes her choice basing on her personality. However, multiple personalities form in a person through her lifetime, one of which dominates in this circumstance. «Selection» of a personality defines existence. Having performed an action under influence of one of his personalities (or roles, if you wish), a person begins to justify this action using logic and fictional notions, framing up the meaning of these subjective ideas to the current circumstance. Thus, covering himself with «reason», the Person hides from the meaninglessness of her actions, from existence. The very term «person» is fictional and is used here as a name: «the Person», since every thinking being is individual and can't be merged with others by the framework of a single notion.

The Double project is a subjective vision of Fedor Dostoevskiy's works from the aforementioned point of view. Using metaphors the project tells a story of a person who splits his «personality» with constant self-deception and tries not to notice it. Initially this person didn't possess individuality and was a meaningless part of reality. Having split his personality into exact opposites he still remained nobody. The aforesaid concept is described in Dostoevskiy's books (exactly in «The Double») and is later discovered in works by Gusserl, Sartr and Jaspers. Everything above is a subjective impression on the mentioned authors' works.
